On August 26, 2023, the Tea Mountain Taiwan Merchants Branch Xinyuan Public Welfare held an annual award and scholarship distribution event in the conference room on the eighth floor of the Tea Mountain Productivity Promotion Center. Since 2011, awards and scholarships have been distributed to children from impoverished families in Chashan Town every September before the start of the school year. By the end of 2022, the cumulative distribution amount is about 630000 yuan.
On that day, Ruan Zhaoqiang, the Party Committee of the Tea Mountain Town Government, Director Wu Yuting of the Economic Development Bureau, Deputy Director Li Shiyang of the Education Office, Deputy Director Yuan Xiaoying of the United Front Work Office, Honorary President Liu Xingwang of the Tea Mountain Taiwan Business Branch, President Wu Yuelin, Executive Vice President Zeng Shiqiang, Supervisor Liao Zizhe, Finance Director Lin Yufang, Vice President Liao Junmao, Secretary General Zhang Zhicheng, Director Lin Chaokun, Director Huang Guowei, and Director Gu Zhenghuan Deputy Secretary General Xu Zhijie and about 30 heart-shaped ambassadors jointly participated in this event.
In this distribution activity, a total of 29 outstanding students from impoverished families (14 undergraduate students, 15 college, vocational school, and high school students) from 11 villages and residences in Chashan Town benefited and received scholarships and grants, with a total distribution amount of 72000 yuan. Starting from this year, awards and scholarships will be distributed uniformly from the original raised funds, and instead will be adopted by member enterprises for student assistance, which means that the enterprises will adopt the students until their stage of academic completion is terminated.
